The course represents a multifaceted introductory moment to the planning disciplines. It is based on a conception of the project as a result of a process of analyzing and understanding the context, at all scales where the architect/planner operates. Its specific task is to convey theoretical fundaments, methods and techniques for reading, interpretation and representation of the physical and built environment as necessary
and preparatory phase of the design process. The course consists of lectures, seminars and practical workshops on the field regarding sample urban and rural areas.
