The course aims to retrace the evolution of agriculture and the transformation of agricultural landscape from the past to nowadays. It introduces the comprehension of the different elements (environmental, technical, political, economic and social) which distinct the «Rural Italies» from the broader European context.
Special attention will be given to make a critical analysis of fundamental documents for the historical study of agriculture and landscape and to distinguish main elements to recognize and classify the configuration of agricultural zones, even from a business perspective.
