According to Alejandro Aravena «architecture deals with giving shape to the places we live (...). The shape of these places, however, is not defined only by the aesthetic tendency of the moment or the talent of a particular architect. They are the result of rules, interests, economies and policies». For this the Course of Fundamentals of urban planning will be addressed to unravel this "implicit reference" that the studente should know about.
