Internship Abroad

Before starting the internship, the trainee must complete the Workplace Safety Training Course (4 hours of General Training + 12 hours of Specific Training), in accordance with Italian Legislative Decree 81/2008.

 

Curricular Internship Abroad (EU Countries ONLY)

For students who have not participated in the Erasmus call, it is possible to undertake an international curricular internship by following the procedure outlined below.

The duration of the internship must correspond to the ECTS credits (CFU) required by the student’s Degree Programme.

Please note that internships can only be carried out within European Union countries. In the case of international students, the internship cannot be completed within their country of origin.

 

Search for a Foreign Company/Organization Independently (ONLY WITHIN THE EUROPEAN UNION), Selection of a University Tutor, and Submission of a Request Email to the Internship Office

  • The student must independently find a foreign company or a foreign public organization where the internship can be carried out. (Foreign companies/organizations are not registered within the St@ge online portal.)
  • The student must also select a University Tutor among the professors and researchers listed in the following directories: Professors / Researchers
  • The student must then send a request email for carrying out the international internship to the Internship Office:
  • tirocini@architettura.unifi.it
  • tirocini@design.unifi.it (for students of the Design Campus)

The email must include the University Tutor, with whom the student has already made arrangements, in copy (CC).

The request must be submitted at least 2 months before the expected internship start date.

The following documents must also be attached to the request email:

  • Declaration of Family Relationship / Prerequisite Exams (Self-certification)
    (available on the website of the relevant Degree Programme)
  • Workplace Safety Training Course Certificate

 

Establishment of an Agreement between the School of Architecture and the Host Organization

If no previous agreement is already in place, an internship agreement must be established between the foreign company/organization and the School of Architecture.

The agreement must first be signed and stamped by the legal representative of the hosting foreign company/organization. Afterward, it must be approved and signed by the President of the School of Architecture (Prof. Giuseppe Lotti).

Once the agreement has been established, the student must complete the Training Project for the International Internship in collaboration with the company tutor and the university tutor.

The project must then be signed by the:

  • trainee;
  • company tutor;
  • university tutor.

It must be submitted to the Internship Office at least 10 days before the internship start date.

Training Project for International Internship

After receiving the documentation, the Internship Office will proceed with the activation of the internship and will send the required notifications to the relevant authorities.

 

International Healthcare Mobility

Before departure, students are advised to contact their local USL (Local Health Authority) to obtain information regarding international healthcare mobility.

 

Submission of Internship Completion Documents to the Internship Office

At the end of the internship, the student must send the following documents by email to the Internship Office:
