Joint Faculty–Student Committee

The Joint Teaching Staff–Student Committee is the permanent monitoring body for teaching activities. It is composed of an equal number of teaching staff and student representatives, appointed on the recommendation of the respective Degree Programme Councils belonging to the School.

Its activities are governed by the University Regulations for Schools, available on the UniFi Statute and Regulations page.

Duties of the Committee (excerpt from Article 6, paragraphs 2 and 3, of the Regulations for Schools)

The Committee is responsible for:

• monitoring the educational provision and the quality of teaching;
• monitoring the services provided to students by professors and researchers;
• identifying indicators for evaluating the outcomes of these activities;
• providing opinions on the establishment and discontinuation of Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree Programmes;
• drafting the annual report, including proposals to the University Evaluation Unit, pursuant to Legislative Decree No. 19 of 27 January 2012.

The Chair of the Joint Teaching Staff–Student Committee convenes the Committee at least once every four months.

The Committee is also convened at the request of at least one third of its members.

The request must specify the matters to be included on the agenda.
