Joint Faculty-Student Committee
The Joint Faculty-Student Committee is the permanent monitoring body for teaching activities. It consists of representatives of the teaching staff and an equal number of students, appointed upon the recommendation of the respective Degree Programme Councils belonging to the School.
The Committee is governed by the University Regulations for Schools, available on the University of Florence’s “Statute and Regulations” page.

Duties of the Committee (excerpt from Article 6, paragraphs 2 and 3 of the School Regulations)
The Committee is responsible for carrying out the following activities:
- Monitoring the educational offering and the quality of teaching;
- Monitoring the services provided to students by professors and researchers;
- Identifying indicators for evaluating the outcomes of these activities;
- Providing opinions on the establishment and discontinuation of Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree Programmes;
- Preparing the annual report, including proposals to the Internal Evaluation Unit, pursuant to Legislative Decree No. 19 of 27 January 2012.
The Chair of the Joint Faculty-Student Committee convenes the Committee at least once every four months.
The Committee shall also be convened at the request of at least one-third of its members.
The request must specify the matters to be included on the agenda.
