Free-choice credits
Since the 2011/12 academic year, it has no longer been possible to offer courses intended exclusively to fulfil free-choice credit requirements.
University regulations specify that, in order to fulfil free-choice credits, students must select from the compulsory courses currently offered by other Bachelor's or Master's degree programmes at the University, as listed in the annual Course Catalogue.
Alternatively, the University has authorised us to offer specific learning activities called "Approfondimenti" (the so-called "Thematic Seminars"), which may be used to fulfil free-choice credits. Read the information on the Thematic Seminars page.

Possible recognition of ECTS credits obtained through participation in workshops and other activities
The recognition of ECTS credits is handled by the Degree Programmes (by the Degree Programme Teaching Committees or by the Degree Programme Council).
In the Degree Programmes of the School of Architecture, no credit recognition is provided for, except within the framework of internships, and only for certain Degree Programmes.
Students should check the Degree Programme Regulations applicable to their cohort to determine whether this option is available. This information is usually provided in the article entitled Methods for assessing other required competences and the outcomes of placements and internships. However, once the Regulations have been opened, it is advisable to search using the keyword "recognition".
