Study Programme

⚠️ PLEASE NOTE: Starting from September 2024, newly enrolled students are strongly advised to complete the safety training course within their first semester.

The safety training course is mandatory for all students enrolled in all degree programmes in order to access laboratories and undertake the curricular internship.

The Workplace Safety Training Course (Article 37 of Legislative Decree 81/08) consists of two parts:

  • General Training (4 hours), delivered online via the Moodle platform → unlimited validity
  • Specific Training (12 hours), delivered remotely via Google Meet and divided into two 6-hour sessions, with a final test. Registration is available on the dedicated page → valid for 5 years

1) General Safety Training

The first General Safety Training course can be taken at any time on the e-learning platform for students:

  • Log in using your credentials;
  • Complete all course activities (approximately 4 hours);
  • The course can be accessed at any time and may be completed partially and resumed later, according to your own schedule. It is advisable to complete the course within the same calendar year, as when the new year begins, the IT system resets any sections previously completed;
  • Only after completing the entire course and waiting 24 hours will it be possible to register for the Specific Risk Training course. Instructions will be provided during the course itself;
  • General Training has unlimited validity and therefore does not need to be repeated.

2) Specific Safety Training

After completing the General Training, students may attend the Specific Safety Training course (12 hours of lessons) in a virtual classroom, with online registration.

  • The course is divided into two 6-hour sessions and will be delivered via Google Meet. Attendance on both dates included in the booking is mandatory; otherwise, the hours already completed will not be considered valid. It is not possible to complete the first half of the course in one session and the remaining hours in another session.
  • Participants must have a computer equipped with a microphone and webcam, or alternatively a smartphone or tablet.
  • The invitation to access the course will be sent the day before to the participant’s institutional email address (name.surname@edu.unifi.it; name.surname@unifi.it).
  • Students who completed the 4-hour General Safety Training on Moodle at least 24 hours earlier may register independently.
  • Students who have already completed General Safety Training externally and whose training has been recognised by the University Safety Office (formazione.sicurezza@spp.unifi.it) may register by sending an email to formazione.sicurezza@architettura.unifi.it.
  • Each course will have a maximum of 35 students. Online registration will remain open until the maximum number of participants has been reached.
  • The course remains valid for 5 years, after which it must be repeated. The General Training described in point 1 does not need to be repeated.
  • At the end of the course, participants will be given a short test covering the content of both parts. Attendance is mandatory.

Please note that attendance is mandatory for both parts: the General Workplace Safety Training (an online course of approximately 4 hours on the e-learning platform) and the Specific Risk Training (a 12-hour course).
