Assistant Professor (type B - Researcher from February 2022) of Design (ICAR13) at Università degli Studi di Firenze (Unifi), Department of Architecture (DIDA).
The doctoral thesis about methods and tools for the sustainable design of products and services, discussed in 2016, receives a recommendation in the competition organized by Firenze University Press for its particular scientific value.
He is currently the technical-scientific coordinator of the Sustainability Design Laboratory (DIDALABS, Unifi). He is currently a lecturer in the Design 1 Course at the Three-year Degree Course in Industrial Design (Unifi) and in the Advanced Furniture Design course at the Master's Degree Course in Design (Unifi); in addition, he is a teacher of Eco Design in the context of the 1st level Master in Interior Design (Unifi).
He is a member of the joint teachers-students commission of the DIDA for the three-year degree course in Industrial Design.
He is scientific coordinator of seminars and workshops: Cradle to Cradle (2021/2022), Materials beyond Materials (2020/2021), Design for Circular Economy (2019/2020), Design 4.0 (2018/2019).
Since 2013 he has been carrying out research in the Sustainability Design Laboratory where he carries out research at national and international level on sustainability issues. Recently the research interests concern: circular economy, new materials, bio-design and digital technologies for sustainability (ERC sector: PE8_10 e PE8_11).
He is the owner of a patent (n.IT201800001753 (A1) publication date 07/24/2019) resulting from a research with Agrorobotica Srl as part of the SpyFly project, a Project for the capture and recognition system of insects harmful to agricultural crops (without peer review).
