The Erasmus+ Traineeship at a designated location involves a period of internship at an institution or company that the student has contacted independently.
The student can independently identify a location for the traineeship and agree with the company on the duration and activities to be carried out.
Please note that in order to undertake the traineeship within the Erasmus+ Traineeship program (and thus receive a grant), you will need to apply through the university's call, which typically has a deadline in April each year. Therefore, it is recommended to contact companies and agree on the details of the traineeship a few months in advance, allowing enough time to complete the necessary procedures.
The University Call for Applications specifies the admission requirements, the application procedure, the deadline for submission, and includes the link to the list of generic host institutions.
Applications must be submitted exclusively through the Turul online platform.
Students who choose to apply for a company they have identified independently will participate in the “Selection for the formation of rankings for Erasmus+ international mobility for traineeship – Sede nominativa"
It will be necessary to have the host company sign a Letter of Intent specifying the details of the placement.

Students who are awarded a specific location must formalize their acceptance of the mobility opportunity within the deadlines specified in the call, by sending a dedicated acceptance form to archint@unifi.it.
At this point, communications with the company must be carried out independently by the student. Once the details of the traineeship and the period are agreed upon with the organization, the Learning Agreement for Traineeship must be completed.
The Learning Agreement for Traineeship is the contract between the student, the home university, and the host company, in which the mobility period, the traineeship activities, and, in the case of a curricular traineeship, the number of ECTS credits to be awarded upon return from the mobility are defined.
Learning Agreement for traineeship
A few weeks before the mobility period begins, the student will be contacted by the Servizi alla Didattica Office to sign the Mobility Contract.
Along with the signed copy of the contract, the student will receive the Confirmation of stay for Traineeship.
This document must be brought along when leaving for the host country. The host organization must indicate the arrival date on the document, which is essential for determining the official start date of the mobility period and, consequently, the disbursement of the financial contribution.
